Your 1980s well isn't dead — most tired Gillespie County wells rehab or deepen for a third of the cost of drilling new.
Airlifting, brushing, chemical rehab and deepening for tired wells — the fix for falling Trinity water levels that doesn't start at $15,000
From $1800 · Camera or airlift findings shown to you before any rehab work is quoted.
The problem
A well that made 15 GPM in 1995 now struggles to make 4. Around the Kerr County line and south of Fredericksburg, Trinity static levels have dropped enough that pumps set in the 1980s now hang too high in the hole — and everywhere, screens plug with scale and iron bacteria.
The lazy answer is 'well's dead, that'll be $18,000 for a new one.' Sometimes true — but often the casing is sound and the water is still there, just lower or behind a plugged screen.
We diagnose first: static level, drawdown, camera where useful. Then the right fix — brush and airlift the screen, chemically treat scale and iron bacteria, lower the pump, or deepen the existing bore — typically $1,800-$7,500 instead of a new-well ticket.
What’s included

Frequently asked questions
How do I know if my well needs rehab or replacement?
Measured numbers decide it: if static level has fallen but the well still recovers, lowering the pump or deepening works. If the casing is collapsed or the screen zone is exhausted, we'll show you the camera footage and say so — before quoting anything.
Why is my well weaker every summer?
In the southern half of the county the Trinity aquifer's static level has been trending down for years, and summer irrigation pumping drops it further. A well that's marginal every August is the classic candidate for pump lowering or deepening before it fails outright.
